Hiketick, Patrick


Patrick Hiketick, born in Antwerp – Belgium, studied the piano, chamber music and music theory at the Royal Conservatory of his native city.

He composed music for all Molière- and Shakespeare-plays, and he was the composer-in-residence with the Royal Theatre in Antwerp for 10 years.

For the Royal Ballet of Flanders, Patrick made symphonic arrangements of a.o. ‘Don Quichotte’, ‘Gisèle’ and ‘Cinderella’. Furthermore, he composed the music for more than 100 different theatre-plays. For radio & television he composed numerous tunes, songs and filmmusic.

Patrick is currently very active as free-lance composer, performer and professor. The numerous compositions and arrangements he made for the Flanders Clarinet Quartet received succes all over the world. Recently, he toured in Japan with the Flanders Clarinet Quartet in Takayama, Nagoya and Osaka, where he was celebrated with a concert in his honour.
